Oh God, no – he’s gone and started a blog.

Indeed I have. I’m Nat Goodlad, also known as Volleys by about three people. At the end of 2020, I decided that I needed something else to do with my spare time other than shout at the PlayStation. As somebody who is too self-conscious of his looks and voice to start a YouTube channel (again), going the old-fashioned route into complaining about my life on the internet seemed more plausible.

I thought 2021 would be the year of the blog. Actually, it turned out to be the worst year of my life, hence why there are huge gaps between almost every post so far. The next year, 2022, was somewhat better. Well, the second half of it anyway. The first half was just as bad as before.

After a difficult period of being in and out of jobs I absolutely despised, I’m now living up in’t north, having moved away from home in southern country for another crack at journalism.

When I started this blog two-and-a-half, I wanted to mainly make it about sport, giving my opinions about the teams I follow as well as all the current topics of the time. That hasn’t really come to fruition, but it has sort of worked too as it’s shown I can formulate sentences about other things too, such as my inability to run and how Sunday evenings are the creation of the Devil.

Hopefully, when I can actually be arsed to add a bit more content, there will be something here that you like. If not, you can always suggest that I start writing about something else. I may or may not take you up on that kind offer.
